Cala Mondragó is part of Mondragó's 766 hectare natural park. The two largest bays, ses Fonts de n'Alis and s'Amarador, are connected by a short walk on a rocky path and are one of the most beautiful and clean bays in Mallorca. The next largest town is Santanyi and is about 56 km from Palma.The village in the Southeast, with its nearly 12,000 inhabitants, is one of the most beautiful in Mallorca. The houses are built in the original Majorcan style with their typical Marés sandstone. In the center the reare many small shops where you can find extraordinary fashion, jewelery and decorative items. Every Wednesday and Saturday is market day, which runs through the entire center. Here you can enjoy the hustle and bustle on one of the most beautiful markets of the island. The Mondragó Natural Park offers two beautiful bays and is located in the immediate vicinity of Santanyi. The Vall d'Or golf course, a small but appealing landscaped area with fantastic views of the sea, is about 20 minutes drive away from Santanyí. Among the most beautiful beaches in the area of Santanyi are the Cala Lombards, the Calo des Moro, the Cala S'Almunia and S'Amarador. A few minutes’ drive from Santanyi is the Cala Santanyi, where the crystal-clear waterfalls gently and the beach is perfect for families.
