Since 1 January 2023, the renovation obligation has been in force in Flanders. This means that new owners of a house or flat with EPC label E or F are obliged to renovate their home to label D or better within 5 years of purchase.

Following a disagreement with the former franchisee, the license contracts for the Brussels, Wavre and Lasne areas came to an end on December 01, 2023. Leaving these territories free within the E&V network, the company has decided to expand its operations, this time under a 100% company owned structure by E&V, and no longer under a system of franchisees in these regions. Following the success of other cities such as Marbella, Barcelona and Milan, these are the first operations of this type in Belgium.
