Description
In Massino Visconti, in an exclusive position with a stunning view of Lake Maggiore, stands this exclusive and spacious residence.
The property extends over three levels of approximately 300 square metres, surrounded by a garden of about 1,200 sq m. The interior spaces and their layout were carefully designed, and the details executed with care and taste.
On the ground floor there is a first independent area consisting of a kitchen, dining area, bedroom, 2 bathrooms, storage room, utility/technical room and pantry, all overlooking the garden. A modern internal staircase leads to the first floor, with a second entrance (which can make the two units independent), consisting of a large kitchen, dining area, a guest bathroom, a spacious and bright living area with fireplace opening onto a large terrace with a magnificent view, an ideal relaxation corner to sip an aperitif and admire the lake lights even in the evening. One then continues to the sleeping area consisting of a bedroom with en-suite bathroom; going up again, there are two more bedrooms, a bathroom and a storage room/walk-in wardrobe.
This property offers the versatility to be lived in various ways: thanks to its independent entrances, it is possible to create two self-contained residential units.
The outdoor garden is highly functional, with an area already set up for a swimming pool/hot tub area, and is finally completed by a garage.
This small municipality lies on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore, in a hilly position overlooking the lake’s lush green banks. Peace and nature are the hallmarks of the town of Massino Visconti (above Lesa), located just a few kilometres from the renowned town of Arona. An important tourist centre, well connected to the main motorway routes, close to Malpensa and 60 km from Milan, Arona stands on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore. A town with a rich history, Arona was long in the hands of the wealthy and powerful Borromeo family: Saint Charles Borromeo was in fact born here, in the castle, in 1538. The town has many churches and squares, among which the Church of the Holy Martyrs and the Collegiate Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary are certainly worth remembering. The former houses the remains of the village’s patron saints and preserves, above the high altar, 15th-century frescoes of the Leonardesque school; the latter, the parish church, originally had a Gothic style, which has gradually been lost due to countless renovations. Moving to the medieval heart of the town, we find Piazza del Popolo, with its old-world houses and the pier, on which a small lighthouse stands, a favourite spot for tourists. However, Arona’s most important and fascinating monument is undoubtedly the Colossus of St Charles Borromeo, which, at about 35 metres high, ranks second among the tallest statues in the world, surpassed only by the Statue of Liberty. Arona also offers various activities for visitors: a historic centre full of shops and restaurants, a pleasant lakeside promenade for walks, and lidos and small beaches where you can spend warm summer days. In this wonderful historical and natural setting you can find homes for sale on Lake Maggiore.
