San Carlos is a typical small and cozy village in the northeast of the island. In the center of the village stands the beautiful whitewashed church, built in 1785. Next to it is the famous Bar Anita, the original meeting place for hippies in the 1960s. There are several restaurants, bars, small shops, and the famous Las Dalias hippie market. Within a short drive are some beautiful beaches such as Es Figueral, Cala Llenya, Cala Mastella, and Aguas Blancas. The distance to Santa Eulalia is six km and to the airport 28 km.
