The village of Ehrenburg, which lies at 805 metres above sea level and belongs to the municipality of Kiens, is located in the centre of the Pustertal Valley. The village is characterised by its mighty castle, which towers majestically over the village and dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Locally, you will find the most important infrastructure for your daily needs. Thanks to its strategically favourable location, the centre of the Puster Valley, the town of Bruneck with its shopping street around the historic old town and varied entertainment programme throughout the year, is just a few minutes' drive away. The direct connection from Ehrenburg to the cycle network makes it possible to undertake easy to more challenging bike tours throughout the entire Pustertal and Eisacktal valleys. In winter, you can easily reach the number one ski resort in South Tyrol, Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, with half-hourly train connections, where you can step directly from the train carriage into the gondolas of the lifts, which are equipped with heated seats. Other well-known winter hotspots such as Gitschberg-Jochtal, Drei Zinnen Dolomites or Alta Badia with access to the Sella Ronda can also be reached in around 30 - 40 minutes by car. The village can be reached in just 20 km from the motorway exit.
