The municipality of Dobbiaco is located in Alta Pusteria at the entrance to the wild and romantic Val di Landro and borders two nature parks: Dolomiti di Sesto and Fanes-Sennes-Braies. Surrounded by picturesque nature, the village is located in a sun-kissed position amidst a unique and unrivalled mountain backdrop. Dobbiaco is famous for its proximity to the Tre Cime, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Lake Dobbiaco. There are many opportunities for various leisure activities here in both summer and winter; scenic hikes in the mountains or on the shores of the lake, skiing in the nearby Haunold and Helm ski areas or cultural activities such as historic castles and museums of all kinds. Numerous events such as the Dolomiti Ballon Festival, the Dobbiaco-Cortina cross-country ski race or the Dolomiti Superbike fill the village with life and give it its unique character. Cortina is just 30 kilometers away and Brunico can be reached in around 30 minutes.
