The municipality of Latsch is located in the middle of the Vinschgau at 639 m above sea level and consists of four villages: the main village Latsch, Goldrain, as well as Morter and the slightly elevated Tarsch. All necessary infrastructures such as bakery, supermarkets, pharmacy, restaurants, and also the train station are within walking distance in a few minutes. North of Latsch is the hamlet of St. Martin im Kofel (1740 m), very popular for walks and hikes, which is accessible by cable car. The middle Vinschgau offers ideal conditions for every active vacationer with more than 300 sunny days. In winter, the neighboring ski areas (Schnalstal, Meran 2000, Sulden, Watles, Reschenpass, Nauders in Austria) are ideal for all skiers and winter sports enthusiasts. Cross-country skiers and biathletes find their winter paradise in the rear Martelltal - also ideal for snowshoe hikers and ski tourers. Ice skaters will find a covered ice rink directly in the village, while enthusiastic swimmers or sauna-goers can spend their leisure time in the indoor pool. Conveniently, there is also a supermarket located in the same building as the apartment. The Vinschger Bahn train station, one of the most picturesque railway lines in South Tyrol, can be reached on foot in 5 minutes, to head towards the spa town of Meran or the mountain paradise of Mals.
