Thanks to its central location, the most well-known excursion destinations can be quickly reached, such as the Dolomites, the Valle Aurina, Brunico or Bressanone. On warm summer days, the most popular destination is the Issinger Weiher in Falzes, where you can swim and sunbathe. Schöneck Castle, the birthplace of Oswald von Wolkenstein, is located in the middle of the forest. The Schöneck Restaurant is just next door and is an unmissable stopover for any gourmet. The landmark of Falzes is Sichelburg, whose symbol is the coat of arms of Falzes. It offers contemporary culinary art in a historical setting due to its amazing, paneled rooms and impressive vaults. During the winter season, the large sports area offers a ski lift for children, a toboggan run, ice skating rink and is the starting point for an approx. 30 km long cross-country ski trail. Ski mountaineering lovers will find countless itineraries and at the same time, skiers will get their money's worth at Kronplatz. It is just a few kilometers away and offers approx. 120 kilometers of ski slopes. The skiing areas Gitschberg - Jochtal, Skiworld Ahrntal or Alta Badia are within 30 km.
