The quality of restaurants in the area contributes to the charm of every Villa with Lago Maggiore view. Here are the restaurants you shouldn’t miss
Like every year in late autumn, gourmets all over Italy anxiously wait for the publication of the well-known “Guida Michelin”, the magazine dating back to 1956 and celebrating the best Italian restaurants. And like every year, Lago Maggiore proves itself as one of the places with the most Michelin stars in Italy, with a great number of awarded restaurants.
A gourmet food temple, which contributes to the charm of all Lago Maggiore villas for sale. Besides, who can avoid the pleasure of dining on the Lake?
This is the case of Il Portale in Pallanza (one Michelin star), which the Guide describes as follows: “a good restaurant in the central square, lakefront, where your summer dinners will have the flavour of relax and vacation; you will mostly find sea fish, but also some lake and meat dishes”.
If what you are looking for is a dinner on a terrace overlooking the Lake, then just go to Laveno at La Terrazza (one star) and enjoy a delicious cuisine, which can offer you “a harmony of flavours, aromas and fantastic courses. It is all about a modern cuisine, which blends with the tradition of Italy”.
Not only is the cuisine of Laveno Mombello unmissable, but also its very popular houses for sale are not to be missed.
Not far from Laveno, on Mergozzo Lake, you find one of the best Italian restaurants, the Piccolo Lago, with two Michelin stars. “Leaving Lago Maggiore and reaching Mergozzo, you will find yourself in front of a romantic postcard, which prime element is the Lake. Its water touching the shore where the restaurant is nestled”. Some tables are, in fact, settled near the Lake. The chef is Marco Sacco, whose strength is the ability of creating modern dishes, but at the same time rich in traditional elements.
