Rural house built in respect of nature through the installation of solar systems and energy autonomy, is located in the countryside of Spongano between the country roads leading to Depressa, Castro, Poggiardo and Surano.
Surrounded by one hectare of unencumbered land with the possibility of building a swimming pool, the land is full of fruit trees and features a functional vegetable garden. The surrounding nature is watered by rainwater that is managed to collect from the roof during rains. The outdoor spaces are the added value of the property because they create privacy and give the possibility for constructive developments aimed only at enhancing and improving the life of the house. The surrounding land is a mixture of earth and stones, with soil typically red from the Salento region.
Given its constructive origin, the house is completely autonomous from the point of view of energy and planting as it is necessary to intervene with its own means for the disposal of natural and human waste. One can also intervene on the systems for the final stage of installing air conditioning in the different rooms where necessary.
Inside, the division of space is essential and minimalist with a large, bright kitchen-living room for various moments of conviviality and the three separate bedrooms for sleeping at night. Two storage rooms were built in addition to the central body, however, equipped and functional for short stays. All rooms have French doors to the outside precisely to maintain this connection with the surrounding nature. The front of the house is on all four sides with constant exposure to the sun, which even in winter helps to heat the rooms through panels on the roof.
The simplicity of construction in its square and angular shapes, the building materials used as locally as possible, make this country house a wonderful oasis of peace just right for a smart working couple or a young family. The house presents itself furnished with the essentials and everything working and ready to use, but its current furnishings, not formally designed, can be easily modified and again chosen to embellish the interior design to measure.

Spongano is one of the oldest villages in Salento that with its palaces and history maintains a cultural charm that is still relevant today. After Maglie, it is one of the most inhabited centers but is set in a more austere urban context and linked to country life. Commission Details
The assignment of mediation to our agency and our real estate agents is conferred through the signing of a specific document or, failing that, through the use of the services listed in our brochure, in our real estate files and ralative clauses.
