This beautiful Villa Lago Maggiore is located above Bracchio hills, a small hamlet in Mergozzo municipality, from which the small Lake of boundless charm takes its name. This setting boasts unspoiled nature and a variety of colours depending on the season, which can give you intense emotions. The Villa enjoys a prime location, on a plot of about 3,600 sqm, and an excellent privacy, while boasting an unparalleled Lake view, especially from the top floor. At the entrance there is a large living area, expertly renovated in the early 90s to keep the energy efficiency at its best. In the basement there is a spacious cellar that can be used as an additional space/basement room/wine cellar. The upper floors offer the sleeping area with bedrooms and their respective bathrooms, as well as a terrace with double Lake view. The first, smaller one is that of Mergozzo, the second much more impressive, and more famous is of course Lago Maggiore. The feeling of an Italian-style historical dwelling, merged with the magic of nature and silence, makes this property a jewel of inestimable historical and natural value. If you are looking for a well-preserved period villa surrounded by greenery, which boasts a view of two of the most exclusive Lakes in Italy, this is the right Villa for you.
Mergozzo is a lovely town lying on the shore of the homonymous Lake. In ancient times it was the very Western part of Lake Maggiore, but during the centuries the floods of Toce river formed a strip of land that divides Lake Maggiore from that of Mergozzo. On its waters we can admire the picturesque village of Mergozzo, which hosts the Archaeological Museum and the granite eco-museum of Montorfano. From Mergozzo starts the Azzurro Path, a beautiful trekking route that, from the lakeside follows the north side of Montorfano, which despite being high little less than 800m, has the particularity of being a unique block of white granite, therefore, there are since always are several quarries: the columns of the Church of San Paolo Fuori le Mura in Rome were built with the white granite of Montorfano.
