Pian di Caggio is reached via a private avenue of about 75 meters, which could be adorned with the classic cypresses that characterize the landscape of the Tuscan countryside. The farm, as per peasant tradition, stands on the top of the hill, from which you can enjoy a splendid 360-degree view of the surrounding countryside. The Podere is composed of the main building developed on 2 floors with the characteristic stables on the ground floor and the apartment on the first floor, a hut, a former barn overlooking the main building and next to the shed there was a wood oven that was mainly used for baking bread. The slabs, the roof and some internal walls are partially ruined, they were made of ancient terracotta and stones that are still on site and can be reused for a skilful restoration. On the country road leading to the farm stands a large holm oak tree that marks the entrance to the property ground, flanked by an ancient well in typical very suggestive red brick. The farm is surrounded by its own agricultural land for about 36 hectares, in which there are, in addition to arable land, also about 2 hectares of truffle ground, with an excellent yield. Podere Pian Di Caggio also enjoys a benefit not common to country buildings: in addition to water and electricity connections, methane gas is also available.
