Demand certificateThe Rebstockviertel is part of the Bockenheim district. Its name goes back to an old Frankfurt patrician family who ran their estate here. After Count Zeppelin successfully landed an airship at the International Airship Exhibition (ILA) in 1909, one of Germany's first airports was built here, which was used until 1945. Several streets are named after the first aviation pioneers such as Kätchen Paulus, Max Pruss and August Euler. The Volkspark am Rebstock was opened in 1962 and the adventure pool, which is still very popular today, was added in 1982. The Frankfurt Feldbahn Museum's light railway tour also runs through the Rebstockpark. Since 2002, a new neighbourhood with modern flats has been built here, which will provide living space for around 4,500 people and is based on the concept of the renowned architect Peter Eisenmann. In addition to recreational opportunities in the Rebstockpark and swimming pool, the Rebstockviertel offers a good infrastructure with day-care centres, a primary school and a supermarket with a bakery and café. The green spaces in the neighbouring districts, such as the Europagarten or the Brentanopark with the Nidda, are ideal for cycling tours. Sports fans can enjoy the fitness studios of the neighbouring Radisson Hotel or the Meridian Spa, for example, while shopping fans will find a variety of shops and restaurants in the Skyline Plaza in the Europa district.
