This charming historic house dates back to the 17th century, although its origin lies in a medieval tower of which the walls and entrance arch are still preserved. It was completely renovated between 2000 and 2001 and converted into a hotel with an attached family residence. In subsequent renovations, exterior constructions and the spa area in the attic were executed. The establishment is categorized as a “Casona de Cantabria”, for which it is required to be located in a historic building and have a minimum set of facilities corresponding to a 3-star hotel.
It is located in San Pantaleón de Aras, Voto, within a 4,000 m² estate bordered by the Clarín River. Access to the property involves crossing a lovely stone bridge over the small river leading to the parking area, with capacity for 10 cars plus with two additional covered spaces and an electric car charging port. The property is surrounded by a green meadow with fruit tees. There is a large covered porch made of wood overlooking the green garden where guests can enjoy regardless of the weather.
San Pantaleón de Aras is a quiet area in the heart of nature with easy access to nearby services. The town center of Bádames is 5 minutes away walking, and urban centers including Colindres and Laredo are only 10 minutes away by car. Some of Cantabria's finest beaches are less than half an hour's drive and the hotel is only 40 minutes from Santander and 1 hour from Bilbao.
