Cala d'Or, the ‘Golden Bay’, is a charming municipality with around 4,000 inhabitants in the Migjorn region, only around 60 kilometres south of Palma. The next largest town, Santanyí, is around 15 kilometres away, and it only takes around 45 minutes to get to Cala d'Or from Palma airport. The rugged coastline around the town is criss-crossed by numerous small, fine sandy bays - everyone will find their own personal favourite beach here, and a stroll through Cala d'Or is a clear contrast to the typical holiday resorts of Mallorca.
