Maslianico is a small village of about 3,000 residents on the border with Switzerland and five minutes from Como, just above the town of Cernobbio. It is situated on the Breggia River, between Mount Bisbino and the Spina Verde Nature Park, in a location that combines the scenic charm of the mountains with proximity to the beautiful towns of Como and Cernobbio, as well as the shores of Lake Como itself. The beautiful center of Cernobbio, with its quaint alleys, historic buildings, and a stunning lakefront square, is about an 8-minute drive away. Here you’ll find the famous Grand Hotel Villa d’Este, which hosts international events such as the “Concorso d’Eleganza” and the Ambrosetti Forum. A short distance away lies the provincial capital, Como, renowned for its architectural beauty, exclusive shops, excellent restaurants and bars, and the iconic lakeside promenade. The lake invites you to enjoy a variety of water sports, and the Lake Como Navigation Company offers convenient connections to other towns along the lake. The inland area, on the other hand, is perfect for long walks, hikes, trekking, and bike or mountain bike rides. Milan, with its Malpensa and Linate airports, is about a 50-minute drive away (55 km); the Swiss city of Lugano, with its airport, is about 30 minutes away (29 km). For winter sports enthusiasts, we’d like to point out the relative proximity to the famous ski resorts of St. Moritz (CH), Madesimo, Bormio, and Livigno, which can be reached by car in two to three and a half hours, depending on the destination.
