Torrevieja is a coastal town in the south of Alicante province in the area known as the Costa Blanca. It has a population of about 100,000 inhabitants and is 41 kms away from Alicante to the north, 23 kms from Elche to the northwest, and 53 kms from Murcia in the southeast.
