Pozuelo de Alarcón is a Spanish town and municipality in the Community of Madrid, situated to the west of the metropolitan area of the capital. It has the area of 43,2 km², and with 84 989 residents in 2016, it is the thirteenth town in the Madrid region by population.
Situated in the area of gentle hills, with vast natural areas supplied by numerous streams whose wells (pozos) gave name to the municipality, the origins of the current centre of Pozuelo de Alarcón date back to the times of the Reconquest. Since then and until the middle of the XIX century, it maintained the main supply function for all kinds of property in Madrid, among which stand out the ones with the agricultural origins and those originating from the tanning industry.
With only one interruption during the Civil War when its inhabitants were evacuated and the territory was left heavily devastated, in the last century and a half, Pozuelo de Alarcón has witnessed a continuous stream of holiday makers and upper classes who found tranquility and closeness to the capital in this municipality. They have been joined, since the 1960s and due to the economic rise and communications, by all types of classes – including young population which transformed Pozuelo into a relevant and dynamic town in the region, becoming the town with the highest per capita income in the country.
Our property is located in the northern part of the municipality close to shopping centres and with an easy access to A6 and M40. Very pleasant surroundings to enjoy the town of Pozuelo.
