The Argüelles neighborhood was born during the Extension period and is a magnificent example of bourgeois Madrid. Bounded by the Parque de Debod and Princesa Street, it extends in a narrow strip from Plaza de España towards the Parque del Oeste, delimited by Pintor Rosales, Irún, Paseo Moret, Ferraz, Princesa, Plaza de España, and Cuesta de San Vicente streets. In its streets, palaces such as that of Infanta Isabel de Borbón and old asylums and convents, like the Buen Suceso, are preserved. It is an ideal place to live, given its fairly central location, its green surroundings facing the Parque del Oeste and the Parque de la Montaña (where the Egyptian temple of Debod is located), and the presence of numerous shops, leisure areas, bars, and restaurants with their attractive terraces. Its streets host the largest number of original version cinemas in the city, in addition to having seen several important figures of Spanish cinema pass by its particular Walk of Fame. One of the most unique areas of the capital for its variety and excellent infrastructure: six schools, several early childhood education schools, a clinical health center, a specialty center, and its wide variety of Supermarkets and Restaurants.
