Mijas Pueblo is the beautiful centre of the large municipality of Mijas and is located more than 400 metres above sea level, approximately 10 km from the coast. The area of Mijas Pueblo is located in the north of the municipality, bordering the municipalities of Ojén, Alhaurín el Grande, Alhaurín de la Torre, Benalmádena and Fuengirola. The town centre of Mijas Pueblo is one of the jewels of the Costa del Sol, whose charm attracts foreigners, artists and writers who have made it their home for many years.
