Porís de Abona belongs to the municipality of Arico and has about 1,000 inhabitants. This coastal town is surrounded by volcanic landscape without much vegetation. For this reason, this part of Tenerife has not received much attention for many years, and as a result, Porís de Abona has preserved much of its unspoilt way of life, but above all, it still has the typical Canarian infrastructure, so that you can still see a lot of the original Tenerife. The bay of Porís de Abona has a fine pebble beach which, like the old part of the village, shows a traditional and original trait of the country. Those who appreciate the original and Canarian flair paired with an old culture will have the opportunity here to temporarily immerse themselves in a whole new old world. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the southern airport.
