Lumiar Parish is one of the most populous, encompassing the three traditional historic settlements of Lumiar, Paço do Lumiar and Telheiras, and is located in the north-central area of Lisbon. Paço do Lumiar is known for its historic estates and is an excellent place to live, offering pleasant sports, leisure and cultural facilities, such as the Paço do Lumiar Golf Club, the National Costume Museum and the National Museum of Theatre and Dance. One of Lisbon’s most renowned schools, Colégio Manuel Bernardes, is also located here.
Telheiras, in turn, benefits from a wide range of services and transport links. Scattered throughout the neighbourhood, its commercial establishments are another of the area’s advantages. The “street commerce” brings Telheiras’ streets to life. Its diversity meets basic needs through grocery stores, bakeries, stationery shops, etc., as well as two large supermarkets. The “Cafés de Telheiras” area, also known as the “Dry Docks,” stands out for its high level of activity. Telheiras’ accessibility is indeed one of the area’s greatest advantages, with southern Telheiras benefiting from the best transport links. It is surrounded by major roads (the 2ª Circular and the North-South Axis), which readily connect residents to every area of Lisbon and even to the motorways outside the city.
Lumiar has everything essential for a high quality of life.
