Mijas Pueblo is the beautiful center of the sprawling municipality of Mijas, located more than 400 meters above sea level and approximately 10 km from the coast. The Mijas Pueblo area lies to the north of the municipality, bordering the districts of Ojén, Alhaurín el Grande, Alhaurín de la Torre, Benalmádena, and Fuengirola. The town center of Mijas Pueblo is one of the jewels of the Costa del Sol, attracting foreigners, artists, and writers who have made it their home for many years. Although it is visited by many tourists, it has managed to preserve much of its traditional Andalusian lifestyle. In the western part, we can mention the Valtocado and La Alquería residential areas, and in the eastern part, residential areas such as Las Terrazas, La Noria, Las Lomas de Mijas and, above all, the Buenavista area, which lives up to its name and offers spectacular views of the sea and the entire coast. From here you reach the Airport in less than 15 minutes and a 5-6 minute drive takes you to Benalmádena, Fuengiola and some of the best beaches & beach clubs around.
