Buildable land on Via Sombreno - Valbrembo

Via Sombreno runs along the border between Bergamo and Valbrembo. Over the decades this part of the area has developed with new buildings and infrastructure: the road is now wider, traffic has increased, streetlights have appeared and there is also a cycle path, yet its look—with the greenery around it and that “countryside” atmosphere so appreciated by lovers of walks and bike rides—has not lost the charm it had in the past. Valbrembo is a municipality in the hilly belt a few kilometres from Bergamo. The most important route is the provincial road Villa d’Almè–Dalmine, which crosses the municipality from north to south. It is 15 minutes from Milan Bergamo (Orio al Serio) International Airport and 45 minutes from Milan Linate Airport. The town still preserves elements from the medieval period, including a stone tower incorporated into the Frera farmhouse, the Vacis tower and the adjoining fortified house, used as an observation point over the Brembo River. There are numerous stately residences in the area. In the religious sphere, mention should be made of the parish church of Saints Cosmas and Damian in Scano al Brembo, dating back to the 11th century, the parish church of Saints Vitus and Modestus in Ossanesga, and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Chestnut. Within the municipal territory there is also Le Cornelle Wildlife Park, a zoological park of major importance for the conservation of wild fauna, known especially at European level. In addition, the Alpine Gliding Aeroclub (AVA) has been operating for over thirty years, carrying out its gliding activities at Valbrembo Airport, set in a magnificent pre-Alpine setting.
