Major structural works are currently underway, including seismic upgrading, adaptation of the load-bearing masonry, consolidation of the existing floor slabs, construction of new intermediate floors and a timber roof, as well as energy-efficiency improvements (energy class A/B).

Acoustic insulation, chemical damp-proof barriers and humidity treatments are also planned, together with external and internal bio-lime plaster, Venetian-style portico paving, terracotta-strip paving in the inner courtyard, and marble flooring in the entrance hall, stairwell and landings.

The window frames will be made of highly insulating wood.
