Based on our corporate office in Rome we are hiring an:

Head of Finance Italy (m/w/d)

Leading a team of 4 accountants and reporting directly to the CFO Italy, The Head of Finance is the point of contact for both internal and external matters relating to accounting, cash management and taxes. As such, the Head of Finance ensures compliance with legal accounting and tax principles, sufficient liquidity and accurate bookkeeping.


Management of the accounting and taxes team including continuous control of current processes and harmonization of processes across locations:

  • Standardization/ Harmonization of finance processes across locations
  • Efficient and timely integration of potential new locationsEsurance of process adherence across locations
  • Development, assessment, and training of team 


Central bookkeeping including cash management across locations:

  •  Bookkeeping (e.g. AP, AR, Trial balances, General ledger)
  • Ensuring compliance with legal accounting procedures
  • Ensuring high accuracy of books by followingImplementation of proper checks and balances and continuous development of these
  • Supervision of monthly and yearly closing activities
  • Preparation of company financial statements, including collection of Audit report and deposit of the FS package to the Chamber of Commerce
  • Support of the Controlling function regarding cost and budget control (responsibility of Controlling function) 
  • Person of contact for accounting department at HQ 


Supervision of monthly and yearly closing activities

  • Lead the processes in accurate and structured way


Interaction with external/ internal auditors

  • Supervision of mandatory and voluntary audits
  • Point of contact for internal auditors


Receivables and working capital management

  • Receivables and working capital management for both legal entities (incl. preparation of ageing lists, alignment with HQ accounts receivables department, alignment with L&C
  • Supporting L&C department with cash collection


Cash and liquidity management

  • Ensuring sufficient funds and liquidity incl. preparation of a monthly liquidity forecastPoint of contact for HQ relating to cash and liquidity mattersInteraction with banksEnsuring timely payments to suppliers, agents, employees, and other creditorsReconciliation of Bank, credit cards and other financing means


Taxes

  • Management of the company’s corporate and tax books
  • Interaction with tax consultants for tax issues and tax calculation
  • Preparation of monthly tax forms


Risk Management

  • Performing continuous quality checks to minimize financial risk
  • Supporting L&C team with overall risk management topics


implements HQ guidelines in its area of competence, shares and disseminates the group's best practices and collaborates with the international team on specific projects

  • Collaborate with the international function team for specific projects and/or to support/request support on particular issues
  • Participate in committees and working/project groups at country and/or global level for the implementation of processes/activities/projects for organizational improvement and development


Your profile

  • Expertize with Tax and Accounting in Italy.
  • Previous experiences both in consultancy and structured companies
  • Strong focus on accuracy and processes development
  • Great communication skills and ability to relationate with stakeholders of different levels and complexity
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Strong knowledge of structured accountancy softwares, an experience with SAP would be preferred
  • Experience in leading high performance team
