The municipality is small, quiet, and surrounded by other well-known towns such as Ugento, reachable via several direct road routes, some of which are suitable for slow mobility; Presicce-Acquarica, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy; and Morciano, a small, rural, agricultural, and authentic center. A short distance away is Santa Maria di Leuca, a place known for having given rise to the concept of holidaymaking in the twentieth century. The seaside resort of Pescoluse owes its success also to a unique feature: a sandy inlet about two kilometers wide with perfect southern exposure.
