History, authenticity and charm at the UNESCO Hills

We are in Pieve di Soligo, precisely at the foot of the Solighetto hill, in the heart of the UNESCO area, just a few hundred metres from three internationally renowned restaurants.

This gem was created through the skilful renovation of an old dwelling, whose façade bears the coat of arms of the Brandolini counts, dating back to the 1500s. The house was once associated with Villa Brandolini, the famous Venetian villa now used for museum installations, having served as the residence of the villa’s cellar oenologist.

The careful conservation renovation gives visitors a sense of wonder, arising from the meticulous preservation of the stone and timber comprising the floors, walls and ceilings. Everything in this house is a thoughtful recovery of a piece of history, recalling the slow pace of country life in an era when every trade was an art.

Arranged over two levels, the house currently comprises two rooms on each floor (a lounge and living room, bedroom and walk-in wardrobe) and two bathrooms, together with a kitchenette on the ground floor.

There is also sufficient space to create a second bedroom.

The 270-sq-m internal courtyard offers magnificent views over the slopes of the hill and a completely private space in which to enjoy the outdoors.

On the opposite side of the courtyard, an annex, currently used as a study but potentially suitable as an additional bedroom, lounge or tavern, opens onto a portico where meals can be enjoyed outdoors, as well as onto a small ornamental garden.
