Description

In the heart of Ragusa Ibla, where Sicilian Baroque becomes sculpture, stands Dimora Bonafede, a 17th-century jewel that today represents one of the most refined investment opportunities in Southern Italy. Already established as a successful Boutique Hotel with an excellent profitability profile, this property is not just a historic residence but a unique asset capable of generating immediate and constant value over time. Originally the historic home of the family of poet Giuseppe Bonafede, the building has been transformed into a livable work of art through a visionary restoration that harmoniously blends 17th-century roots with bold contemporary design. The property is offered "turnkey," complete with exclusive furnishings and site-specific artworks by masters Raffaele Catania and Lucio Morando, providing a total aesthetic experience that captivates the most demanding international market. The structure is arranged over two levels of pure luxury. On the ground floor, an inviting living area with designer kitchen and private wine cellar welcomes guests, alongside a refined deluxe room. The upper floor is the emotional heart of the residence, where the Master Suite stands out: a wellness retreat equipped with a jacuzzi on a private terrace and an emotional shower, with a glass perspective offering a cinematic view of the ancient city. A second suite, more muffled and intimate, completes an accommodation offer designed to ensure absolute privacy and comfort. Purchasing Dimora Bonafede means becoming custodians of a piece of Sicilian history and, at the same time, owners of a business already positioned in the elite hospitality segment. It is a perfect combination of art and financial strategy, an irreplaceable object destined for those seeking the prestige of a historic residence without giving up the advantages of a secure and high-income investment in one of the most sought-after destinations in world tourism.

Location: Ragusa, Sicily

Ragusa Ibla, in the far southern tip of Sicily, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002, is one of the Baroque Centers of excellence in the Val di Noto. With ancient origins, dating back to the Neolithic, it stands on the site of the famous Hibla Heraia. Throughout history, it has seen all the dominations that have crossed the island, each leaving its own mark and forming a stratification of cultures that together have created a “UNICUM”: from the Greeks to the Romans, from the Arabs to the Normans, under whom it became an autonomous County. After the disastrous earthquake of 1693, Ragusa was rebuilt, unlike other centers, on the same site. This gives it a medieval layout along with scenic squares and Baroque palaces with facades of golden local stone. It has always been called an "island within an island" for its history and its different economic context from the rest of Sicily. Its territory can be considered a small microcosm because it encompasses different landscapes within a few kilometers: coastlines with fine golden sand washed by the Mediterranean Sea, countryside rich in carob trees, characterized by dry stone walls, hills with gentle green slopes of olive trees, deep canyons carved over millennia by raging rivers, a generous and rich land that has also influenced the character of its inhabitants, hospitable and open to new things. In recent years, it has taken a broader approach, investing heavily in hospitality by focusing on the tourist port of Marina di Ragusa, the most beautiful and equipped in southern Italy, and on Comiso airport, just twenty minutes from Ragusa. Culture, archaeology, art, tradition, food and wine, unspoiled territory are the strengths of this city where it is still possible to live on a human scale.
