Andora is a coastal town in western Liguria, in the province of Savona, famous for its picturesque sandy beaches. Welcoming and pleasant in summer for its beaches and its marina, which has recently been structured to accommodate even important yachts, Andora is also beautiful in winter for the possibility of exploring its hinterland, with its numerous buildings, including the famous castle, known as ‘Paraxo’, of great historical importance. The unique Pinamare area offers an escape from the bustling life of the centre, allowing one to experience, without compromise, the union of the Ligurian Apennines kissed at its feet by the limpid and splendid waters of Andora, a blue flag for years now. Choosing to live in this place, immersing oneself in the greenery along with the scent of the sea, is a privilege for the few but not for everyone. Just a few kilometres away from Alassio, Sanremo and the Côte d'Azur, it is therefore a place to see and discover. This area is full of shops, boutiques, restaurants and cafés, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Ligurian cuisine is renowned for its fish and olive oil dishes, pesto and world-famous local wines: Vermentino and Pigato. The city offers a wide range of restaurants serving local specialities, including the famous focaccia ligure or even the Sanremo purple shrimp. There are plenty of activities to do and medieval villages to visit, festivals with international resonance and marine features such as the cetacean sanctuary. Among the various particularities, there is an area under environmental protection and constraint to protect the maritime pine plant species, unique in its kind and thanks to their presence it gives a microclimate of a thousand and one nights.
