Description

Nestled among the gentle hills of the Langhe, hidden within the lush nature of the area, lies a rare gem: an ancient farmhouse carefully restored, where every detail and material has been chosen with care. The approach to the property, preceded by a tree-lined avenue, immediately offers an enchanting view that foreshadows the charm of the interiors. Beyond the entrance gate, a true corner of paradise awaits: an elegant home surrounded by a large garden immersed among hazelnut groves and enhanced by a refined panoramic pool. Upon entering the house, you are welcomed into a cozy and intimate living room, where the warmth of the fireplace on one side and the spacious dining room on the other create the perfect atmosphere for dinners and evenings in good company. Continuing on, the bright and functional kitchen is ideal for those who love to cook and share family moments. The ground floor also includes a characteristic bathroom and a bedroom with a view of the garden. From here, the staircase leads to the intermediate floor where a bedroom with exposed beams and small windows creates a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Upstairs, a second bathroom, elegant in its neutral tones, is designed to combine style and functionality, enhanced by a loft space perfect for use as a laundry room, storage, or, if desired, a sauna. Also on this floor are three more bedrooms, one with a private terrace offering panoramic views. At the end of the corridor, a third bathroom, illuminated by a characteristic porthole window, provides natural light that enhances the beautiful cement tile floor. A notable feature is the expertly restored antique interior doors, which create a perfect balance between the elegance of the past and the modernity of the spaces. Wood is a recurring element throughout the house, even in the floors, providing a sense of warmth and harmony. Comfort is ensured year-round thanks to underfloor heating and cooling, supported by solar panels, storage batteries, and inverters, ensuring optimal energy efficiency. Completing the property is a spacious technical room, also useful as a tool shed. The house's location, close to nearby towns but immersed in complete privacy and tranquility, makes it ideal both as a primary residence and as a weekend or vacation retreat.

Location: Cherasco, Piedmont

Cherasco is one of the most renowned and important towns in the Langhe, as well as one of the eleven towns producing Barolo wine. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Cherasco has Roman origins and is located about 15 minutes from Alba and 10 minutes from Bra, situated on a plateau at the confluence of the Stura di Demonte and Tanaro rivers. Its development began in 1243, at the will of the imperial vicar of Frederick II of Swabia, Manfredi II Lancia, and it has since grown into the vibrant center it is today. There are numerous religious architectural works, such as the Church of St. Augustine, built in 1672, the 12th-century Church of St. Peter, the 13th-century Church of St. Martin, and the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Popolo, completed in 1702. Visitors can also explore the Civic Museum, the natural history museum "Giorgio Segre," the magic museum, and the deconsecrated Church of St. Gregory, used for temporary exhibitions. Palazzo Salmatori, also known as the "Palace of Peace," dates back to 1620 and is located in the heart of the town, having witnessed significant historical events. Additionally, Cherasco is home to an important antique market, held for over thirty years and reaching its 120th edition in 2022. On this occasion, Cherasco's center becomes pedestrian-only, with hundreds of exhibitors lining the orthogonal streets, amidst baroque palaces, 17th-century churches, and charming squares, attracting an ever-growing public.
