The Centre neighborhood of Badalona is the most sought-after area of the municipality, where old 18th- and 19th-century houses meet the beach and the sea via the Rambla Santa Madrona. Homes with a long history—colonial residences of former entrepreneurs from a wide range of industries—where Badalona families who have lived here for generations still reside.
The main streets in Centre are, in practice, clearly pedestrian, with little vehicle traffic; only the vehicles of a few fortunate residents with a parking space, and the occasional commercial vehicle, pass through.
It offers all kinds of services and shops just a few meters away, from small traditional businesses to the main shopping artery, Carrer de Mar, fully pedestrian, along with a varied gastronomic offering that multiplies in the summer months with the installation of various beach bars right on the sand.
City Hall is just 500 meters away, Mercat Maignon 400, Parc Can Solei i Ca l’Arnús 200, the Municipal Hospital 600, the Dr. Robert Primary Care Center 500 meters, and a little over 3 km away one of Catalonia’s most renowned reference hospitals, Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital (Can Ruti). Moreover, the nearby educational offering is extensive, varied, and high-quality: Col·legi Badalonés, Maristas Champagnat, Minguella, Nazareth, Cultural, and several nursery schools.
The Centre neighborhood can boast of being an area with excellent transport links. Its location is outstanding, with Badalona train station just 600 meters away, the Pompeu Fabra Metro stop 550, and the C-31 600, connecting it quickly with Barcelona or Girona. In addition, there are numerous bus lines nearby, allowing you to reach any point in the municipality in a short time, as well as any town in the Maresme and, of course, Barcelona.
