Torrelles de Llobregat belongs to the Baix Llobregat region. With an approximate population of 6,200 inhabitants, it is located just 13 km from Barcelona, about 25 minutes from Avinguda Diagonal, perfectly combining the tranquility of a natural setting with proximity to the city.
Surrounded by pine-covered valleys and old vineyards converted into cherry orchards, Torrelles de Llobregat retains the charm of traditional Mediterranean villages, inviting you to enjoy nature and a privileged landscape. The municipality is especially known for the quality of its cherries, to which it dedicates each year the popular Torrelles de Llobregat Cherry Festival (Festa de la Cirera).
One of its most emblematic places is the cultural and tourist park Catalunya en Miniatura, which houses more than 147 reproductions of representative buildings and monuments of Catalonia, including some of Antoni Gaudí’s most outstanding works.
The municipality is surrounded by forests and cherry orchards, and strolling through its old town reveals the agricultural past that Torrelles has proudly preserved. It is a village made up mainly of single-family homes, where tranquility, quality of life, and a family atmosphere prevail.
In addition, Torrelles is a very active municipality in sports and culture. Each year it hosts one of Catalonia’s leading mountain-bike downhill competitions.
As for services, it has a nursery school, primary school, secondary school, library, sports centers, summer activities for children and young people, and a wide range of cultural and sports organizations, such as theatre, a hiking club, a skating club, taekwondo, tennis, handball, MTB, and American football.
The municipality is also very well connected, with six bus lines linking Torrelles to nearby towns and the Barcelona metropolitan area
