Tiana is a Spanish municipality in the province of Barcelona. Located in the Sierra de la Marina, on the eastern coast of Catalonia. It is located in the southernmost part of the Maresme region, 15 km from Barcelona and 20 km from Mataró. It is bordered to the north by the neighboring municipalities of Santa María de Martorellas de Arriba and San Fausto de Campcentellas, to the east by El Masnou and Alella, to the south with Montgat, the old fishing neighborhood of Tiana until its independence in 1933, and to the west with Badalona. Tiana has an area of 7.9 km², most of it forest, vineyards and bushes. The municipal area of Tiana is surrounded by the gentle undulations of low-lying mountains. This mountain range takes the shape of a shell that protects Tiana from the northern winds.
