Location: Ebersberg, Bavaria
Within a few minutes’ walk you can reach the suburban rail (S-Bahn) station as well as the town center. Ebersberg, “the Pearl of Munich’s East,” with about 12,210 residents, is the county seat of the district of the same name in the administrative region of Upper Bavaria and lies directly south of the Ebersberg Forest. The forest north of Ebersberg is one of the largest contiguous woodland areas in southern Germany. Ebersberg is only about 30 km east of the state capital Munich, which is easily accessible by S-Bahn, regional train, and via the B 304 or the A 94. The town is 32 km north of Rosenheim and 47 km from Munich Airport. The infrastructure is excellent. With a modern district hospital, various general practitioners and specialists, several pharmacies, a shopping center, and a historic old town around Marienplatz, the county seat offers all the advantages of urban life. You can be in nature quickly, distances are short, everyday life is less hectic, and everything is a bit more relaxed. There are many cycling and hiking trails. Two nearby 18-hole golf courses invite you to play. Cultural life is diverse, with the “Old Cinema,” the “Old Granary,” the monastery farmyard with an open-air stage, and much more. For young children there are several daycare centers and kindergartens; a primary/lower secondary school and a secondary school are on site, and there are two academic high schools in neighboring towns.
