Mühldorf am Inn is the district capital of the county of the same name
and is located on the Munich–Passau and Landshut
– Rosenheim axes, approx. 78 km east of the state capital Munich,
99 km southwest of Passau and 65 km northwest of
Salzburg. Mühldorf is very well connected to the surrounding cities
via the A 94 and the railway junction, which links rail lines including those
from Munich, Rosenheim, Salzburg, Passau and Landshut.
Mühldorf also offers a wide range of educational opportunities, as
primary schools, a lower secondary school, vocational schools, as well as
a grammar school and a music school are available. In terms of leisure,
there is an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, a miniature railway,
as well as a harness racing track and museums.
Mühldorf also has more than 100 general practitioners and
specialists from a wide variety of fields, as well as the
Mühldorf District Hospital.
