Description

IMPORTANT HISTORIC VILLA WITH SWIMMING POOL AND GARDEN, COMPLETELY RENOVATED

A few minutes from the lake, this splendid historic residence extends over three levels, in addition to the basement, for a total of approximately 400 sq m, with a garden of approximately 1,500 sq m.

This prestigious historic residence is ideal for a family seeking ample space and privacy, or as an excellent investment.

Following a careful and comprehensive renovation, the current owners divided the property into five fully independent units, which have been tastefully furnished.

On the ground floor, an independent apartment comprises a living room opening onto the portico and garden, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. An internal staircase leads to the first floor, comprising a bright apartment (which can be further divided) with a living room, kitchen, dining room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two balconies and a large terrace. Continuing up the same staircase, the upper floor contains another apartment with a living room and open-plan kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The surprises do not end there: going up further leads to the tower room, a multifunctional and exceptionally bright open-plan space.

The basement contains a large cellar area and laundry room.

The exterior details have also been carefully considered: heated swimming pool, hot tub, ample parking area, and a room (currently divided into two garages) that could be converted into a spa area or gym.

Location: Lesa, Piedmont

This small municipality lies on the Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore, in a partly hilly location overlooking the lake’s lush green shores, between Arona and Stresa. Peace and nature are the defining features of Lesa, situated just a few kilometres from the renowned town of Arona. An important tourist centre, well connected to the main motorways, close to Malpensa and 60 km from Milan, Arona lies on the Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore.

A town with a rich history, Arona was long controlled by the wealthy and powerful Borromeo family: Saint Charles Borromeo was in fact born here, in the castle, in 1538.

The town is home to numerous churches and squares, including the Church of the Holy Martyrs, with its fifteenth-century frescoes from the Leonardo school, and the Collegiate Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. Moving on to the town’s medieval heart, we discover Piazza del Popolo, with its old-world houses and its pier, topped by a small lighthouse and a favourite destination for tourists. However, Arona’s most important and fascinating monument is undoubtedly the colossal statue of Saint Charles Borromeo. Standing approximately 35 metres tall, it ranks second among the world’s tallest statues accessible inside, surpassed only by the Statue of Liberty.

Arona also offers tourists a variety of activities: a historic centre full of shops and restaurants, a pleasant lakeside promenade, and lidos and small beaches where visitors can enjoy the warm summer days.
