A charming, large garden, the city centre within walking distance, and plenty of scope for your ideas: this semi-detached house combines an attractive location with the opportunity to create a bespoke family home. As the rearmost of four semi-detached houses, it is set back on a beautiful corner plot. Mature trees and dense planting provide extensive privacy. The raised terrace, with direct access to the garden, is ideal for shared meals and relaxing hours outdoors. A private parking space belonging to the house completes the property.
A well-considered layout is already in place: seven rooms across three residential levels provide ample space for family life, privacy and guests. On the ground floor, the living area with terrace access, a separate dining room and the kitchen form the centre of everyday life; there is also a guest WC. Windows on two sides provide views of the greenery. Subject to technical and structural assessment, opening up the partition wall between the kitchen and dining area could create a spacious area for cooking and eating together, for example with a central kitchen island.
The wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, with three rooms and a bathroom. This level can be used for sleeping, playing or working and also provides access to a balcony. The fully converted attic offers two additional rooms and a second bathroom. Further usable space is provided by the large, naturally lit basement, with a laundry room, boiler room and two additional rooms, suitable for hobbies or storage. Subject to appropriate assessment, incorporating the former tank room could create further potential uses.
Several individual improvements have already been carried out in recent years: in 2022, a new gas heating system was installed and, according to the owner, the former oil tank beneath the terrace was professionally emptied and decommissioned. The façade was refurbished and painted in 2021, and the outdoor areas, including the bin areas, were renewed in the same year. The terrace and balcony received new coverings in 2017. Further modernisation is required. The existing room layout provides a good basis for this. The renovation visualisations show possible designs and do not depict the current condition. We would be pleased to show you the house and its potential during a personal viewing.

This location makes everyday life pleasantly uncomplicated: Living in Oberursel’s city centre means being close to the historic old town and able to take care of many errands on foot. A trip to the bakery in the morning, shopping in the pedestrian zone or an impromptu dinner at a restaurant – much of daily life can be managed without a car. Schools and kindergartens are also within walking distance, a particular advantage for families.
Oberursel is also an attractive and diverse centre for education. Its public system ranges from primary schools and lower and intermediate secondary schools to comprehensive schools, grammar schools and a vocational grammar school specialising in business. The Frankfurt International School (FIS) and SIS Swiss International School Frankfurt offer international and bilingual educational pathways, both at locations in Oberursel. There is also the Phorms Taunus Campus in neighbouring Steinbach and accadis International School in Bad Homburg. Families therefore have a wide choice of educational pathways in the city and surrounding area.
Half-timbered houses, narrow lanes and the historic market square define the charm of the old town. Independent shops, cafés and restaurants invite you to browse and linger. Fresh food and regional products can be found at the weekly market on Epinayplatz – wonderfully combined with a coffee or a stroll through the town centre.
Relaxation also begins nearby: The paths along the Urselbach and the nearby Bachpfädchen offer an opportunity for a short break. In Maasgrund, walking paths and the pond provide further opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. For longer hikes, bike rides and outings together, the Taunus offers a wide range of leisure activities.
The “Altstadt” underground station is just a short walk away. The U3 line takes you to Frankfurt as well as to Hohemark at the foot of the Taunus. The Oberursel railway station also provides access to the S5 suburban railway line; the bus network completes the connections. This location thus combines family-friendly infrastructure and urban life with proximity to nature and the metropolis of Frankfurt.
