The property market in Austria’s largest federal state is experiencing positive development, with prices climbing quickly in Vienna’s surrounding areas in particular. The majority of transactions for detached and semi-detached houses have therefore been recorded in the districts of Tulln, Mödling and Baden. Families in particular are looking for properties with gardens in these areas, which, due to lower prices than in Vienna itself, are also of interest to a larger group of purchasers.

Managing Partner Engel & Völkers Baden near Vienna

“Vienna’s affluent suburbs in particular are experiencing change as a result of the corona pandemic. Demand for houses in green locations is higher than ever before, with families increasingly looking for properties with potential for constructing new buildings. In addition to this, as quality of life becomes a higher profile issue which people place more value on, buyers and tenants are increasingly prepared to spend more money on high-quality housing.”
