Seduction is a whimsical skill and deeply linked to external factors that can help us or hurt us depending on the occasion. Nevertheless, if the place you wish to visit has a romantic atmosphere, then you will no doubt become seduced by it. Thanks to the many surprises that Barcelona has up its sleeve, it is impossible not to fall in love with this amazing city.
Our first stop is carried away somewhat by the most spectacular setting. When the night falls, the Fountain of Montjuic (Fuente de Montjuic) is one of the most magical places that can be found in Barcelona. The combination of water shooting up at high altitude with the bright lights that accompany it, this scene is like an opening ceremony of an important event. The only downside to this place is that if you're planning to spend a quiet, romantic evening here, you may not be the only ones as it tends to get rather crowded with people.

A more discreet alternative to Fuente de Montjuic is a small pub in Gótico district, referred to as cafetería de fábula. The Bosc de les Fades (fairies' forest, in Catalan) is an establishment like no other you have ever visited. As soon as you step foot inside this pub, you will feel like you're in a totally different world. The decoration makes you feel as though you are in a real forest. There are also lots of dim lights scattered around the room, further enhancing the intimate mood of this pub. Spending a pleasant evening with your friends will be even more enjoyable with the types of music that are played here.
Whilst we are on the subject of mystical and intimate venues, there are certain places that let you have a first-hand experience of what Barcelona is all about. For example, The cloisters of Santa Ana Church, located in an almost hidden place next to the famous Plaza de Cataluña, are one of those landmarks that you won't believe existed in a city like Barcelona. The sense of peace is overwhelming here so if you are visiting with a companion, you will both instantly fall in love with this place.
Finally, we will mention another unusual location that is bound to surprise you. Aiguafreda Street could have been a street in a small town (presumably Andalusian) but has the charm of being in the eastern end of Barcelona, between the neighbourhoods of El Carmelo and Huerta. It is a pedestrian street full of potted plants and flowers. This will be a romantic visit and a very pleasant walk for couples.
