According to various studies, the demand for new property construction in Madrid continues to grow. In fact, during 2015, this figure increased by 68 per cent compared to the previous year, 2014. This trend seems to be steadying in 2016, although it is true that no official data exist on this so it will be necessary to wait until January 2017. Undoubtedly, this is a great indication of the recovery that the property sector is experiencing in a gradual way after the severity with which it was hit by the crisis.
The construction of new properties in Madrid offers many advantages for sellers and buyers. In this sense, it is important to emphasise, first of all, the fact that there is no need for renovation or refurbishment, which is a great attraction for those who do not wish to make additional investments in such projects or reside in another part in the capital and, consequently, pay for two houses.
On the other hand, those interested in new build homes emphasise the modernity of the spaces whenever viewing a real estate in Madrid in search of their perfect property. In fact, one of the main disadvantages of second-hand or resale homes is that they are usually in a rather poor condition and with outdated interior decor.
