November, the month of stew in Madrid
Winter will soon arrive and with it, the cold weather prompts the desire to eat something hot. What would be more traditional than a plate of stew? Well, between 1st and 30th November, twenty restaurants in the capital offer special menus with the main course being the traditional Spanish stew, callos.
Once again, during the month of November, Madrid will become the international capital of jazz. This is the third consecutive year in which the city hosts this event, which will consist of almost a hundred concerts and all kinds of activities related to one of the most original musical styles that exist today. El Centro Cultural Conde Duque Conde Duque will be the epicentre of the festival, although there will also be a number of events taking place at the Fernan Gomez theatre.
Madrid 2016 dance (Madrid en Danza)
Between November 18th and December 8th, the capital will host the thirty-first edition of Madrid en Danza. This event, among many other artists will invite the likes of Mathieu Ganio, Dorothée Gilbert and Nacho Duato, will range from flamenco to classical ballet through theatrical and contemporary dance.
This is a unique market selling second-hand musical items and takes place in Shoko lounge in Madrid. There will be plenty of stands that offer the chance to buy and sell all those instruments you no longer need. You can also enjoy art exhibitions and food delicacies from all over the world.
