MODICA: Location and surroundings of this property
We are in the historic center of Modica, a city in the province of Ragusa, in the southernmost edge of Sicily, which together with Ragusa and Scicli was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2001. The property, precisely, is located in the Carlo Papa area. Modica Bassa is the district that still today gathers the day and night life of the town; it attracts tourists and hosts bistros which are popular even among by those who are not from Modica, while maintaining a composure and tranquility, in a relaxing atmosphere where it is easy to feel at home. Not far from the sea and the golden beaches, surrounded by beautiful countryside, demarcated by the characteristic dry stone walls, Modica is part of that Hyblean Territory which for beauty, climate, culture and quality of life is increasingly chosen by foreigners even for a permanent residence. The other UNESCO sites of Ragusa Ibla and Scicli are also not far away. From the point of view of traffic, Modica is well connected to major points of interest, including the Comiso airport, just 40 minutes away, and the international airport of Catania, about an hour away by car.

Commission Details
