Unique features: The charming area of Koukaki, sprawled at the feet of the Acropolis, has been voted as one of the most interesting neighbourhoods in the world (at least according to Airbnb). Koukaki offers a good base to discover the charms of Athens and its most renowned sites, the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. The Museum for Contemporary Art is housed here too and two of Athens’ cultural venues – the Onassis Cultural Centre and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation are a short drive away. Accessibility: Extremely well-connected by the metro (Syngrou- Fix and Acropolis stops), tram, bus services to the rest of Athens.
