Luarca is one of Asturias’ most charming fishing towns. It offers all kinds of leisure services around the harbor area, with lively restaurants, beaches, as well as all kinds of shops and a pharmacy. Known as the White Town, it is famous for its lighthouse and as the birthplace of the renowned Nobel Prize in Medicine laureate Severo Ochoa, who drew inspiration for his research from the nearby Portizuelo Beach, just five minutes from the property. The property is located in Villar de Luarca, the most distinguished area, known for its “indiano” houses and high-end single-family homes on the immediate outskirts of the town. In addition, the Northern Way of the Camino de Santiago crosses the municipality from east to west.
