At the end of March, all the residents participate in the Easter Week. The streets of Sotogrande and San Roque are filled with the scent of orange blossom, incense and jasmine, creating a unique atmosphere that invites you to enjoy this special tradition.

Another interesting festivity and tradition is the Pilgrimage of San Roque in April. On this occasion, a pilgrimage takes place with many carriages, horsemen and horse-drawn carriages that travel through the town. On May 21st, the anniversary of the founding of the town of San Roque, we find various events and celebrations to commemorate this milestone.

The Virgen del Carmen is a special celebration dedicated to the fishermen, carried out in San Roque and in many other coastal towns. With a big fiesta, band performances and parades throughout the day, the Virgen del Carmen with a series of religious and festive events.

Another very famous and outstanding celebration is the night of San Juan in June, when bonfires are usually lit. Everyone gathers on the beach to celebrate the arrival of summer with food, drink and music. It is a popular festival that marks the start of the summer season.

In August, in honour of the patron saint Santa María La Coronada, the fair of San Roque takes place with the crowning of the queen. During this fair, which begins on Rociero Sunday, there are parades, children's events, fiestas, bullfights (such as the traditional Toro del aguardiente) and many other festive events that turn the town into a hive of activity and fun.
