Tarifa - a true paradise

Lifestyle, beaches and unique properties

Sunset in Tarifa. Warm colours.

Welcome to Tarifa, a municipality in the province of Cádiz in Andalusia. Tarifa is located in the most southern part of the Iberian Peninsula, on the Costa de la Luz. Tarifa offers a very relaxed lifestyle to enjoy the sunny days all year round. Surrounded by picturesque beaches, all unique and different from one another, but offering a breathtaking panorama. Tarifa is a town that offers a true duplicity: the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean and the Levante and Poniente winds moorish and Christian histories, connecting Europe and Africa.

Quality of life

Tarifa is a city with a lot of energy that attracts those who are looking for simplicity and relaxed days. Its lifestyle becomes a continuous holiday, with access to the best beaches in Spain, excellent attractions and water sports. In summer, the panorama of the sky is multicoloured because of all the kites in the sky. This city is definitely a paradise for surfing. Besides surfing, Tarifa is perfect for other water activities such as scuba diving, sailing, fishing and whale watching as well as for land-based activities such as horseback riding, hiking, cycling, etc.

Tarifa is very close to two spectacular natural parks: the Alcornocales Natural Park and the Natural Park of the Estrecho where you can go hiking and horse riding all year round.

A few kilometres to the north, next to Bolonia are located some of the most important Roman ruins in Spain: the Conjunto Arqueológico Baelo Claudia, an impressively preserved temple with baths and salt pans dating back to the 2nd century BC.

The old town is full of surprises, a veritable Ali Baba's cave with many traditional and handicraft products, shops, bars and restaurants. In addition, you can also enjoy visiting historical monuments such as the Jerez Gate the only medieval gate of the 4 remaining medieval gates. The narrow streets lead you to magical alleyways where jewellery, ethnic shops and moroccan handicrafts will enchant you. The restaurants offer delicious mediterranean cuisine and tapas to complement your unforgettable stay in Tarifa.
