Nestled among the gentle hills of Canelli, in the UNESCO core zone and just five minutes from the town centre, this prestigious villa stands in a setting of extraordinary scenic value, where nature, history and tradition blend in perfect harmony. Designed and built to the highest construction standards, the property represents a perfect balance between contemporary architecture, residential comfort and energy efficiency. High-quality materials, cutting-edge technological solutions and refined finishes create an exclusive home designed for those who seek uncompromising quality. Its high energy rating is ensured by a photovoltaic system with storage batteries, an efficient underfloor heating system on every level and a modern pellet boiler with automatic loading, guaranteeing comfort in every season. The use of natural stone lends character and authenticity to the rooms, while the solid teak flooring and striking staircase enhance the interiors with warm, rich hues. The ground floor is centred around the spacious living room with its imposing stone fireplace, the true heart of the home and an ideal place to welcome family and guests. The designer kitchen, perfectly integrated with the living area, opens onto the splendid outdoor pergola overlooking the heated saltwater infinity pool. From here, the view stretches across the surrounding hills, Canelli’s historic centre and the evocative Gancia Castle, creating a setting of rare beauty. The floor is completed by a study, a bathroom and a practical storage room. On the first floor, the sleeping quarters comprise the master suite with walk-in wardrobe and private bathroom, along with two further bedrooms. Two additional bathrooms, a convenient hallway and two spacious panoramic terraces complete this level. The second-floor attic provides a versatile space, ideal for creating an exclusive relaxation area, hobby room or private gym. The basement houses two large garages capable of accommodating up to four cars, as well as technical rooms for the property’s systems. The outdoor areas have been designed to combine style with minimal maintenance. The meticulously landscaped garden features an automatic irrigation system supplied by an artesian well and enjoys maximum privacy thanks to the dense laurel hedge surrounding the entire property. An exclusive residence where the charm of the landscape meets contemporary design and technological innovation, creating a home of exceptional prestige.
Canelli is a small town of approximately 10,000 inhabitants, nestled in the heart of Monferrato. Together with Nizza Monferrato, it is the second most important centre in the province of Asti, both as a productive and cultural hub and in terms of population. In 2014, the town and its traditions surrounding Asti Spumante, of which it is the beating heart, were included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, recognising the area’s extraordinary historical and cultural value and the distinctive landscape surrounding it, shaped by vineyards tended and cultivated by farmers for decades. It was in Canelli, through the production of the Moscato Bianco grape variety, that the history of great Italian sparkling wines began, culminating in the excellence of Asti Spumante. Architectural gems of this fascinating wine-producing world are the famous “Underground Cathedrals”, true masterpieces of winemaking engineering and architecture. Associated with historic, world-renowned brands such as Gancia, Coppo, Contratto and Bosca, these “Cathedrals” are magnificent cellars distinguished by exposed-brick vaulted spaces that branch into the man-made tuff caves beneath the town, where millions of bottles ferment at a constant temperature, acquiring the aromas and flavours typical of sparkling wine produced using the traditional method. Canelli is also a convenient base for exploring the Langhe, Monferrato and Piedmont in general: it is half an hour from Alba and Asti, 15 minutes from Nizza Monferrato, 30 minutes from Acqui Terme and one hour from Turin. Many events are held throughout the year, including Canelli City of Wine, the Spring Festival, Stracanelli, the Regional Truffle Fair and the San Martino Fair, as well as the Palio di Asti, in which Canelli competes against several other towns in the region.
