Description

On the fabulous and renowned hill of Stresa, in a dominant position, lies a mansion dating back to the end of the 19th century with a refined style, framed by 2000 square meters of lush garden, enriched by tall trees and colorful and scented lake essences. Elegant and refined in its characteristic style of the period, the villa stands out for the soaring profile of the original panoramic turret, from which to admire an enchanting view of the Borromean Islands and the mountains that frame Lake Maggiore. Preserved with great care over the years, thanks mainly to a skilful renovation that took place in 2012, in full respect of the original architecture, the mansion stands out for its noble and stately character, classic but not too much, from the cream-colored tones of the walls to the fine oak planks chosen for each room. The three granite steps and the large front door, both original to the period, welcome us inside the property on the ground floor; a spacious entrance hall leading to the living area with its large and bright living room dominated by a majestic granite fireplace, and to the dining room, convenient to the adjacent, spacious and equipped kitchen; a guest bathroom completes the main floor. Climbing the imposing stone staircase leads to the first floor, which houses the sleeping area; a living room with a small terrace overlooking the lake is the entrance to the master bedroom equipped with an en suite bathroom with bathtub, as well as two other double bedrooms served by a shared bathroom with shower. On the attic floor, in the characteristic turret, is the fourth bedroom with typical ceiling beams, the characteristic panoramic terrace and a private bathroom. An outdoor above-ground wine cellar, a small outbuilding as well as a wonderful stone belvedere hidden in the park complete the offer. A smart choice for all those who wish to live in comfort and elegance, in a solution that combines charm and historicity with functionality, not far from the historic center of the lively town of Stresa. Exclusive destination par excellence, easy to reach given its proximity to Milan and Malpensa International Airport, Stresa is in fact a picturesque town among the most celebrated in the world for its countless scenic and naturalistic wonders and equally appreciated for its renowned restaurants and famous hotels that make it the most exclusive destination on the lake.

Location: Stresa, Piedmont

Stresa is without any doubt one of the most famous towns on Lago Maggiore, one of the main tourist city attractions of Piedmont. From here, you can take the boats to go and visit the beautiful Borromean Islands: it is impossible not to fall in love with the sumptuous palaces rich in art and history and with the beautiful lush gardens. But Stresa is not only famous for the Islands, it also offers a beautiful historic center with lovely bars, bakeries (have you ever tasted Stresa's Margheritine?) and typical restaurants. Moreover, Stresa boasts some hilly and mountainous areas, such as: Mottarone, a mountain of c.a. 1500 meters high, that in winter becomes a ski resort and in summer offers beautiful trekking walks but also adrenaline thrills with Alpyland, a rollercoaster with small two-seat waggons overlooking the Borromean Gulf. The eastern side hosts the Alpinia botanical garden, where you can find thousands of botanical species typical of the alpine and subalpine zone.
