Large plot of land in the Etna Doc area in Castiglione di Sicilia

The land lies in the heart of the DOC area, on the slopes of the Etna Volcano - a Unesco World Heritage Site - in an area rich in wineries and expanses of vineyards, born on lava soils that over the millennia have shaped the territory and the slopes of the land. The property covers an area of about 32 hectares and is located in Contrada Millecocchita, on the northern slope of Etna at about 530 metres above sea level. The northern slope is the area with the highest number of producers, and also the one with the gentlest slopes. The climate is cold, albeit protected by the surrounding mountain ranges of Monti Peloritani and Monti Nebrodi. The soil composition is of volcanic origin and is easily accessible from the driveway that also borders part of the property. The land's urban destination is agricultural land and does not present any particular constraints, therefore the construction of buildings connected with agricultural activity, cultivation, breeding and productive activities, including agritourism, is permitted. Moreover, given the panoramic view of Mount Etna and the quiet, sparsely urbanised location, this property could be the ideal place for the realisation of wine tourism activities.
